I've done something in support of the almost 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.

Please donate to my challenge!
While I was away in France, many people here in Australia celebrated
Daffodil Day, finding different ways to raise funds in support of cancer
research. One way of supporting Daffodil Day is to do the Cold Plunge Challenge
in cold winter waters.
Some crazy souls do a cold plunge every day of August, like me last August.
Every day last year, in fact. I had planned to do the same this year, but the
algal bloom put paid to that, alas. Also, I had a trip to France during August,
which also meant a daily plunge was not feasible.
BUT!
Just as I adapted my plans for daily swimming, I adapted the
Daffodil Day Cold Plunge Challenge to accommodate my circumstances and
constraints.
I did a swim at the Josephine Baker swimming centre wearing this dinky
Yellow Flower Swim Cap. In stylish Paris, alongside the Seine. And I have the photo to prove it –
taken after the pool closed because the rules do not allow for photos to be
taken while the centre is open.
OK so it’s not the same as a cold plunge in an actual ocean, river or lake, but I have
already chalked up hundreds of those so hopefully this all adds up to being sufficiently
worthy of a small donation to the Daffodil Day campaign. Or a big one! Every little bit helps bring us closer to a future without cancer.
Love and thanks to all! xx
